Use small amounts as frequently as after each feed to prevent sore and cracked nipples. Can also be used to soothe and treat damaged skin.
When should I start using Nursing Salve?
If you’re in your second trimester and planning to breastfeed, we recommend applying Nursing Salve once daily to prep your nipples for breastfeeding. In addition, you may wear a nursing pad to avoid staining your bra immediately after using it.
Once you start breastfeeding, we recommend applying Nursing Salve after every feed/pump. Avoid wearing tight clothing or a bra, and let the salve stay on the nipple for as long as possible for moisturisation. This product helps to relieve soreness and discomfort during breastfeeding. For moms who have cracked nipples, you will find relief with this product.
Do I have to wipe off Nursing Salve before breastfeeding?
Nursing Salve is baby safe and breastfeeding- friendly. This product is preservative free; the ingredients are from natural and certified organic sources.
There is no need to wash or wipe off the salve before breastfeeding. It is tasteless and odourless; hence you do not need to worry that your baby will reject breast milk. However, if you do not feel comfortable, by all means, you can wash or wipe off before breastfeeding or pumping.
