This formulation, made with 100% natural origin ingredients and 30.1% from organic farming, is crafted to gently cleanse while nourishing and protecting delicate skin. The base of aqua (water) and Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice* provides immediate hydration and soothing relief, especially for dry or irritated skin. Aloe vera is renowned for its calming, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties, making it ideal for sensitive or baby skin.
Mild plant-based surfactants like sodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium cocoglucoside tartrate, and coco glucoside offer gentle yet effective cleansing without stripping the skin’s natural oils. These biodegradable ingredients are derived from coconut and sugar, making them safe for both the skin and the environment. Glyceryl oleate, a skin-conditioning agent, works synergistically to replenish lipids and maintain skin softness after washing.
Thickened with xanthan gum, the formula ensures a pleasant, easy-to-use texture while remaining non-irritating. Nourishing oils like Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil*, Pelargonium graveolens (geranium) oil*, and Citrus aurantium dulcis (sweet orange) peel oil* not only provide antioxidant support but also impart natural antibacterial and calming properties. These essential oils contribute to the product’s gentle fragrance, derived naturally and safely from essential oils.
Tocopherol (vitamin E) is included to offer antioxidant protection and support skin repair, while citric acid balances the pH to match the skin’s natural acidity, reducing the risk of irritation.
Safety-wise, the formula is free from harsh chemicals, parabens, sulfates, or synthetic fragrances. The presence of geraniol, citronellol, linalool, and limonene—which are natural constituents of essential oils—is clearly disclosed to ensure transparency, especially for individuals who may be sensitive to naturally occurring allergens. However, these are present in trace amounts and are considered safe for most skin types, especially when used in wash-off products.
Put a pumpful onto a flannel and rub all over baby, going from neck down to toe. Then rinse with warm water. This can also be used as a shampoo, but be careful to avoid getting any into the eyes. This gentle cleanser can also be added to baby’s bath water.
Do we have to rinse baby with water after using this cleanser?
No, you don’t have to rinse off as our cleansers are mild and gentle. However, if your baby has sensitive skin, we recommend rinsing off any residues.
Why do you use Sweet Orange Peel Oil in this cleanser?
Sweet Orange Peel Oil has strong antibacterial properties with enzymes that helps promote skin clarity and keeps baby’s skin feeling fresh always.
Is it okay to use only water (with no cleanser) for bathing my baby?
It depends on the type of water. Hard water can potentially dry out your baby’s skin. Furthermore, water alone may not be enough to clean your baby’s genitals and bottom as baby’s stools have a higher percentage of fat compared to adult stools. Therefore, we recommend using a safe, mild, and effective cleanser to help cleanse effectively.
